Swedish Energy statistics - January 2009:
- The installed base of Air-to-air heatpumps increase 41% between 2006 and 2007
- The use of heating oil for space and water heating in one- and two-dwelling buildings has been reduced by 23% compared
to 2006 and 71% since 2003
The number of houses using heatpumps have increased substantially in Sweden during the 1990's and 2000's, with a
particularly large increase for air-to-air heat pumps - 41% - between 2006 and 2007.
Heat pumps are now used in 650,000 houses in Sweden representing about a third of all houses.
